Pain removes our comfort and forces us to leave the path of evil. For everything that is evil makes the spirit suffer, because, in our essence, we are the breath of the divine. In our essence, we are love. Suffering is a distancing from our nature, which leads us to turn back to the source. The greater the distance, the greater the suffering—not because it is a punishment, but because we are God; our essence is formed of love. Everything that goes against this kills us silently. Everything that makes me suffer only shows me the path I should not follow.
