The True Nature of Being

We live forgetting our true nature; we identify with what is not real, with what is only temporary and illusory. What is true is not what the eyes can see, not the exterior—status, money, beauty, the body; none of this is who you are. All of this passes.

Imagine feeling pride, vanity, superiority because of a shirt that will soon become trash. So why do you take pride in your money, your status, your beauty, your body? That is not what you are.

We live in a world so concerned with appearances that we forget we have a soul. What is important is not what is outside, but what is within. If you remain busy caring for and valuing only what is temporary and illusory, your soul—which is true and eternal—always pushed to the background, will shrink in sadness and bitterness. Immediately stop giving more value to what is not true and begin to prioritize what is truly real.

The Exhausted Mind of the Modern Era

We have never had a society with so much anxiety and depression as we have today. In addition to judging ourselves in thousands of ways and placing all this weight upon ourselves, we enter the various media that exist today and consume content without limits (news, information, entertainment), whether positive or negative, but all of it fills our minds, leaving our heads overloaded and exhausting our psyche.

We need to rest, we need to allow ourselves to rest, we need to change our perspective on things so that we stop judging ourselves so much; we need to make peace with ourselves. Not everything is a struggle, not everything is a challenge, not everything is a competition; we do not need to demand so much from ourselves.

The Exhaustion of Productivity

All we truly need is simply to rest—not only the body, but also the mind, our nervous system. We cannot rest if everything we think about, while we are “resting,” is the things we should be doing, or the guilt we feel for not doing anything. We live in a society sick with productivity; we always want to do more, always want to have more, always have to be better, always have to “update” ourselves. At what cost? What is the cost of this on our mental health? What is the cost of this on our hearts?

The Weight We Place Upon Ourselves

Why the anguish of trying so hard to achieve something? Why the guilt of doing nothing? Why does the feeling of unproductiveness come with such force? Who are we trying to impress? What matters, if not the impression we ourselves place upon our own hearts? We are constantly judging ourselves; we judge the people around us, but the ones who suffer from our own judgment are ourselves. Why do we live like this? Why do we place so much weight on ourselves? Why do we set so many expectations? Why do we turn our lives into a challenge and a battle?

Life Is Not Competition, It Is Consciousness

Life is not a race, life is not a battle, life is not a game of survival, life is not a competition. Life is not about how much or when, but about how—about quality. Living is not meant to be a challenge; it is meant to be an art. Something inspired and not programmed.

We chase goals, fight for things, challenge ourselves and compete—even when there is no competition at all. And we live sad, unhappy, anxious, anguished within our hearts, always wanting new things, always wanting to “improve” at something, always wanting to be productive, always wanting to be doing something. But we are never still long enough to question why.

Trust in the Promise

Do not be afraid. I have overcome the world. Even if a thousand fall at your left and ten thousand at your right, you will not fall. I am your shepherd, and you shall not lack. Remain in Me, and under My shadow you will rest. Give your burden to Me and follow Me. Trust in Me, for no one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven.

Living in Alignment

What truly mattered all this time was not how hard I was striving, but how I was on the inside. I needed alignment of expectations, of focus, of perspective, in order to respect my limits, respect my timing, and respect my capacities.

Living in alignment is about letting go of the need to have control. Not forcing, not trying to “make things happen.” Simply acting with the peace that today you did what you had to do, regardless of the results.

When you seek God above all things and act on what He has for you, without the weight of expectations, without the weight of control, He will give you everything and you will have the peace to receive it at the right time.

It Was Always God

It was always God. I tried everything, chased the wind, sought what the world taught me to seek and only obtained suffering, pain, frustration—a terrible and unbearable anguish. An urge to seek, an urge to have, an urge to achieve “success.” I inflicted this pain upon myself. I thought that if I worked harder, tried harder, studied more, persisted more intensely and never gave up, I would succeed. Yet I only hurt myself, placing a burden on my heart that was not mine to carry. No matter how much I exerted myself and sacrificed my peace, I could not force anything to happen. I realized that I do not have control over things. And God would never require that of me.

It was always God who sustained me, always God who held me, always God who nourished me. I do not control the outcome of things; He controls it—He alone. It was always God; I need to allow God to do His part, and I to do mine.

Expressing the Love That Dwells Within Me

I can only express what is in my heart. I can only express what is within me. I can only express the thoughts that pass through my mind. There is nothing I want to think about except the love of God. I want to transform my perspective. I want to see life with different eyes. I want to see the love of God in all things. I know that the love of God is already within me; I only need to find it.

Prayer for True Peace

I pray for peace—not for the illusion of peace, but for true peace. May all organizations of evil perish, and may only those that truly have genuine intentions to transform the world for the better remain. I pray that the great leaders of the world receive divine wisdom, so that they may make decisions with utmost responsibility, integrity, and compassion for others and for the world.
