I have already spent a long time without understanding what was truly important. I sought the Lord, but I still lived in suffering; even knowing that my intention was pure, to follow the path of the Lord, I still did not understand.
Today I know that this phase was part of the path and that, throughout the journey, the Lord was preparing me to acquire the awareness of what I would need to understand in order finally to have the peace I had sought so much.
Peace was never in perfect circumstances, in physical conditions, or in the era of the world. Peace was always in You, peace was always in pure trust and total surrender to You, in recognizing Your infinite love and in knowing that there is nothing that is not possible for You; that I may leave behind all heavy thoughts, of anxiety, anguish, and worry, and rest in trust, rest in peace, rest in You.
