All Value Is in God

I sought answers, I sought the truth, because that was what I needed; it was the only thing that made sense, the only thing that had purpose. After discovering everything I wanted to know, I can no longer merely seek knowledge; I need to seek the Lord in my heart.

Because nothing else has value except the value I find when I feel what God feels for us. Nothing makes sense, nothing has purpose without God, but in the presence of God, everything makes sense, everything has purpose. And only the love of God is capable of opening our eyes to see this truth.

That is why I can no longer live life as I did before. I need God in order to live. I need God to fill me with life. Without God, I do not live. There is nothing more important than God. Neither money, nor influence, nor marriage: nothing can replace what only God is capable of accomplishing within us.

Before God, all these illusions of the world are nothing to our soul. Nothing. They add nothing to our soul.

The value of these things only adds something when God moves through them and, through them, makes His presence known. Money adds nothing to our soul except when, through money, God moves through an act of love and charity: a donation. The love of God is shown through money. But as an end in itself, it is nothing.

Marriage, the union of two souls, only adds something when God moves through the couple and we recognize acts of unconditional love, in the image and likeness of God. There is no value in the world except the value we can draw from something through God.

To realize this is to understand that everything we value, in truth, we do not value in itself; rather, we value God through it. We do not value money, but we value the love of God, which allows us to ease our parents’ hearts of worry and fear.

All value is in God. Because of this, Christ told us: “Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Let us seek more and more to have God within us, because of everything in the world, there is value only when God uses it as a tool. Be a tool of God, and you will have God within you.
