Today I know that, if I had not truly been alone, I would never have put Jesus first. The feeling I am capable of experiencing when I am close to someone is so overwhelming that I have no other option but to surrender myself completely.
That is how I am. For me, it has always been this way. Nothing had ever made more sense than this, until now. If we are here and nothing matters, the only truth is love, and the greatest love will always be the love that is by our side; and if it is not, it is because you are not with the right person.
But it was only by withdrawing into myself that I realized that the greatest love is, in truth, and always has been, Christ.
