We live believing that we will find security in the things of the world: “When I have that stable job, I’ll be fine!”, “When I build up those savings, I’ll be secure!” But there is no security in any of these things. Everything of this world is illusory.
True security always has been and always will be God. There is nothing you can do. All your efforts to attain security are pure illusion. But in God there is true security: the One who will provide water from the rock in the desert, the One who will bring manna from heaven, the One who will make the lions tame, the One who will make the fire not burn, the One who will make a way through the sea when you are cornered, the One who heals the incurable, blindness, paralysis, and even death!
Even if you die, He can bring you back!
God can do everything, anything, for anyone, at any moment. You are infinitely loved by God. God would do any of these things, and even greater things, for you. For you yourself who are reading this!
God only wants your heart, your love, complete, sincere, and true love. You need to develop your relationship with God, because the truer your faith is, the more sincere your love is, the purer your intentions are, and the closer your thoughts are to God’s thoughts, He will in no way ignore your cries.
God is not our servant, but He is our Father. Just as a father and a mother care about raising their children, so does the Lord. He knows how to discern when we are stubborn and when we are genuine. He knows what will harden or soften our hearts. He knows what will make us arrogant or humble, genuine or false, weak or strong. God takes all of this into account when answering our cries.
The prophets of the Lord who, through the grace of God, performed miracles are human beings like us. The only difference between them and us is where their hearts were: in the Kingdom of God or in the things of the world.
The greatest and most important commandment is this: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” There is no commandment greater than this.
