We know nothing about anything. All we know is that we exist. Nothing beyond that can be affirmed.
The very foundation of reality is such an unfathomable mystery that we can only conjecture what it truly is. Our ignorance is what defines our existence. We do not know what we are, we do not know who we are, we know nothing about anything.
While this is true, billions of souls spend their lives distracting themselves from their own selves and allow themselves to be manipulated in exchange for fleeting pleasures that do not satisfy them even in this life.
The central problem of humanity is the intrinsic ignorance of human limitations. We have named ourselves Homo sapiens sapiens, the man who knows that he knows. We live arrogantly proud of our own human knowledge because we consider ourselves superior to our fellow animals, yet we remain so trapped within our own limited worldviews that we refuse even to listen to anything different.
How, then, shall we know the truth if, even with ears, we do not hear? How, then, shall we know the truth if, even with eyes, we do not see? How shall we know the truth if, even with a brain, we do not think?
Arrogance is the downfall of humanity. Believing that we know when, in truth, we do not know is the beginning of the end of human knowledge. We can only come to know when we accept that we do not know.
We must accept that we are no better than anyone, not even our dog or our cat. We think ourselves vastly superior, but we are nothing. When you truly allow yourself to be nothing, that is when you will free yourself to be everything.
We wander through the emptiness of space, alone amid infinity, and yet we want to find the truth while confined to a single perspective? And that is when we actually seek the truth. Many of us, if not most, live without even questioning.
What is happening? Why are we here? What is all of this?
The only thing that matters within this great madness that is human life is trying to understand what is happening, and most of us are not even troubled by our own ignorance, much less willing to seek the truth.
When will you awaken from this slumber, become truly troubled by it, and genuinely seek the truth?
We are all slaves to our own ignorance. Only the truth will set us free.
