Lord, I choose to trust. Even though I do not know what is to come, I do not prepare in panic, nor do I feel fear, but rather seek to experience the unshakable peace that can only exist amid tribulation, the peace that does not depend on any circumstance, the peace that can only be found in complete trust and surrender to our divine and living God, who has infinite mercy and power over all things.
In this peace I desire to rest, following the glorious example of our Master Jesus, who slept amid the storm.
Glorious Jesus Christ, how divine is Your example of conduct, and how sublime You are. You touch us deeply in ways that no other example of faith and resignation could ever reach.
Your faith continues to transform hearts to this day. All honor and glory are Yours, Lord.
